The NADL Cost of Doing Business Survey contains information from 2023 and has been broken down into two segments. This report presents findings from the first Module of the 2023 NADL Cost of Doing Business Survey. Conducted annually since 2005, the NADL Cost of Doing Business Surveygathers national-level data about the business operations of U.S. dental laboratories.

Module 1 includes questions about respondent demographics, laboratory characteristics, technician compensation, benefits, and training. Module 2 will focus on fees, sales/profits, and outsourcing. Those surveyed were NADL Members, Certified Dental Technicians (CDT), Recognized Graduates (RG), Certified Dental Laboratories (CDL), and JDT subscribers.
